Alessandra Vecchi è Professore Associato presso il Dipartimento di Scienze dell'Ambiente e della Prevenzione dell'Università di Ferrara. Ha ricevuto una borsa di studio Marie Curie dal 2012 al 2018 sulle acquisizioni Cinesi di aziende del lusso “Made in Italy” presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Aziendali dell'Università di Bologna.

È anche Reader presso il London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, con una consolidata carriera nel campo dell'International Fashion Business Management. Ha sviluppato un corpo significativo di lavoro in questo campo disciplinare, riunendo ricerche in International Business, International Marketing, Operations Management e Fashion Management.

Alessandra è anche un membro attivo di CHERN (China in Europe Research Network - https://china-in-europe.net/#  ), dove partecipa al Gruppo di lavoro 2 (Investimenti e acquisizioni di alta tecnologia e innovazione) e Gruppo di lavoro 4 (Diplomazia pubblica e produzione di conoscenza).

Fa anche parte del China Data Analysis & Research Hub (https://www.cda-hub.eu/) come ricercatrice corrispondente per l’ Italia.

Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso l'Università di Bath in UK e ha un notevole bagaglio di pubblicazioni di alto profilo. I suoi interessi di ricerca tendono ad essere di natura multidisciplinare nel campo degli affari internazionali e piuttosto eclettici. È autrice di otto libri –‘The Viability of Industrial Districts’ (2006), ‘The Business of Space – The Next Frontier of International Competition’ (2011), ‘Research Handbook on Global Fashion Management & Merchandising’ (2016), ‘Manufacturing in Time of Great Flux’ (2016) , ‘Advanced Fashion Technology and Operations Management’ (2017), ‘Reshoring of Manufacturing - Drivers, Opportunities, and Challenges’ (2017), ‘Above and Beyond: Exploring the Business of Space’ (2018) e ‘Chinese Acquisitions in Developed Countries - Operational Challenges and Opportunities’ (2019).

Alessandra Vecchi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Environment and Prevention Sciences at the University of Ferrara in Italy. She has held a Marie Curie Fellowship from 2012 to 2018 on Chinese Acquisitions of “Made in Italy” luxury firms at the School of Management at the University of Bologna.

She is also a Reader with London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, with an established career in the field of International Fashion Business Management. She has developed a significant body of work in this disciplinary field, drawing together research in International Business, International Marketing, Operations Management, and Fashion Management.

Alessandra is also an active member of CHERN (China in Europe Research Network - https://china-in-europe.net/# ), as she currently contributes to Working Group 2 (High-tech and innovation driven investments and acquisitions) and Working Group 4 (Public Diplomacy and Knowledge Production).

She is also part of China Data Analysis & Research Hub (https://www.cda-hub.eu/ ) as one of Italy CDA corresponding researchers.

She has gained her PhD from the University of Bath and has a significant track of high-profile publications. Her research interests tend to be of multidisciplinary nature in the field of International Business and rather eclectic.
