Francesco Quaranta Leoni

Francesco Quaranta Leoni, MD, è Direttore Medico di Oftalmoplastica Roma e ha ricoperto il ruolo di Presidente di ESOPRS e SICOP. È Membro di ASOPRS, AAO, ITEDS, consulente per la chirurgia oftalmoplastica di AIMO e fa parte dei Comitati Editoriali di Orbit e dell’European Journal of Ophthalmology. La sua formazione include la specializzazione in Oftalmologia presso l’Università Cattolica di Roma e una fellowship biennale in chirurgia oculoplastica, lacrimale e orbitale presso il Moorfields Eye Hospital di Londra. Nel 2014 ha ricevuto l’ASOPRS Merrill Reeh Pathology Award per le sue ricerche sulla gestione degli impianti endoorbitari esposti. Tiene regolarmente lezioni a livello internazionale, tra cui la Tessier Lecture (Parigi, 2022) e la Mustardé Lecture (Rotterdam, 2024). È co-editor dell’ESOPRS Textbook of Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery (Springer, 2024) ed è esaminatore EBOD ed EBO-ESOPRS.

Francesco Quaranta Leoni, MD, is Medical Director at Oftalmoplastica Roma in Rome, Italy, and
has served as Past President of ESOPRS and SICOP. He is an International Associate Member of ASOPRS, International Member of AAO, member of ITEDS, an advisor for oculoplastic surgery to AIMO, and serves on the Editorial Boards of Orbit and the European Journal of Ophthalmology. His training includes residency in Ophthalmology at the Catholic University of Rome and a two-year fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London in oculoplastic, lacrimal, and orbital surgery. In 2014, he received the ASOPRS Merrill Reeh Pathology Award for research on porous orbital implants. He lectures internationally, including the Tessier Lecture (Paris, 2022) and Mustardé Lecture (Rotterdam, 2024). He is co-editor of the ESOPRS Textbook of Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital Surgery (Springer, 2024) and an EBOD and EBO-ESOPRS examiner.
